Owatonna Gymnastics Club policies:
REGISTRATION: Payment must be received at the time of registration. Registration is not assured until payment is received. A parent or guardian must sign the registration form. Withdrawal from a class must occur prior to the start of the session in order to receive a refund. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Gymnasts must be re-registered every session – your place in class is not carried over from one session to the next.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Classes may be canceled if they do not fill. The Owatonna Gymnastics Club will cancel classes in the event the Owatonna Public Schools close due to weather. Listen to local radio stations for cancellations when weather is inclement.
MAKE-UP POLICY: Gymnasts may make up a missed class on any other day that same class level is offered. Please contact the office prior to making up to assure that there is adequate coaching staff available. All make-ups must occur within the same session that a class was missed.
WHAT TO WEAR: Gymnasts will be most comfortable in a leotard. However, comfortable stretch pants or shorts and t-shirt are acceptable. We carry a wide selection of leotards available for purchase at the club. Girls should come to class prepared with their hair up in a ponytail and clips as needed. NO socks, jewelry or gum, please.
CLASS POLICY: Skill-checking will be done on the sixth week of each session. Week sixth, gymnasts will receive notification regarding class placement for the next session. It is not uncommon for gymnasts to remain in the same class level for several sessions while mastering the necessary skills for advancement. Gymnasts should remain in the viewing area and off all equipment until their class is called. Students should arrive on time so that they do not miss the important warm-up period necessary to prevent injuries. Parents should be prompt in picking up their children when the class has finished.
SPECTATOR POLICY: Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the provided seating area. NO parents or siblings are allowed past the spectator area, for their safety and the safety of gymnasts who are working out. Please keep children off all equipment prior to the start of their class or while waiting for pick-up.
Please contact the office with any questions or concerns at 507-451-4163. Thank you!
