She signed on for the Executive Director position with us in 2016 and is very excited to be doing what she loves!

To help channel her inner monkey, Valerie’s mother enrolled her in gymnastics when she was 5 and she was hooked. 10 competitive years later, with 1 State All-Round title and 2 back-to-back State Vault titles to her name, she retired from gymnastics to focus on school sports. Gymnastics made a brief return to Val’s life as a walk-on to the Saluki Cheerleading Squad her freshman year at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Now years later, with two little monkeys of her own, Val decided to introduce them to her early passion and found herself back at home in the gym. When Britney approached her about coaching for Spring 2017, it was a no brainer.
